About Korean by Line
Korean by Line teaches Korean the way most of us actually met it: through a line in a song, a scene in a drama, a word an idol keeps saying. Each lesson takes one short line and explains it word by word — the grammar, the vocabulary, the slang, and the feeling behind it.
How a lesson works
Every lesson starts with a single line and its natural English meaning. You can tap each word to see what it does, listen to the whole line at normal speed or slowed down, read a short explanation of the one grammar point it teaches, and then make the line your own by swapping a word. A quick check at the end tells you whether it stuck.
Three levels
Beginner (51 lessons) is for fans who have never studied Korean. Intermediate (59) builds everyday sentences. Advanced (56) covers nuance, idioms, dialects and the literary endings you hear in ballads and period dramas.
Where the lines come from
Every line on Korean by Line is an original example line, written in the style of K-pop lyrics, K-drama scenes and Korean films. We don't reproduce real song lyrics or scripts — the lines are made to sound like the Korean you hear on screen and in songs.
Audio is generated with a natural-sounding Korean AI voice so you can hear the rhythm, the endings and the intonation of every line.
